4000 Pixels Per Inch Resolution Slide Scanning

We scan slides at 4000 pixels per inch and we precisely crop to remove any rough slide holder edges. It is not going to be exactly the same every time since we are cropping the rough edges and rounded corners to get a nice final image. The final pixel size is going to be very close for each scan but it depends on the cropping.

The final image size is going to vary depending on the image content such as color intensity, birghtness and contrast. The more color there is, the larger the image file size. There are still going to be the same amount of pixels.

You can also tell an image's dimensions and file size by using your Windows Explorer and placing your cursor over the file. If one of the dimensions is close to 5400 pixels, then it was scanned at 4,000 ppi .

The image selected in file explorer, below, is 5400 x 3624 pixels and has a file size of 8 MBs.

To check on image dimensions, you can right click on an image and go to Properties.

And then on the "General" tab you can see the file size.
