4000 Pixels Per Inch (ppi) Slide Scanning

We scan slides at 4000 pixels per inch and precisely crop to remove rough mount edges and rounded corners. Final pixel dimensions are very close from image to image, but can vary slightly because of that careful cropping.

File size varies with image content (color, brightness, contrast)—even when the pixel dimensions are the same. If one dimension is close to 5400 pixels, it was scanned at 4000 ppi.

How to Check Dimensions and File Size in Windows

You can hover over a file in Windows Explorer to see pixel dimensions and file size, or right-click → Properties to view details.
