We don't have the money to advertise like Legacy Box does. They must spend millions of dollars on advertising on big name TV and Radio shows. We can't even afford to buy Google ads. We can get our customers to help us if they will just give us a little review on our free Google search listing and that is what we are doing now. Wish we would have started this years ago, as you can see from the multiple reviews we have received from people that love our service.
When a customer is so kind to give us a review on our Google page, we are going to also post it here. We are hopeful that, with enough reviews, Google will finally give us a higher search result.

I've had video transfers done before with other companies, and I can attest to the difference it makes to use a smaller company to handle your precious memories. They actually care about doing a good job.

Aug 31, 2024Excellent Service and Products! I recently sent some slides from the 1950's and 1960's to be converted into 4x6 prints. My order arrived in a timely matter and was amazing. Having some quality prints make the pictures so enjoyable. Thank you for your service!

Aug 17, , 2024I have tried various methods to digitize old slides, including buying a cheap machine to do it at home and also taking pictures of my pictures with a digital camera. Believe me, those methods are inferior and a waste of time compared with sending old slides to Affordable Scanning Service. I've sent them 4-5 batches now. The quality has been top-notch, and their service has been speedy as well. Their communication is also excellent. You can trust your precious memories to Affordable; they'll treat you like family.
(P.S. - I think it's a shame that one off-topic one-star review from years ago keeps this business from having a perfect 5-star average rating. I've reported that review on the grounds that it's irrelevant to the business - which it is.)

Thanks Mr. Brouwer. We call those do-it-yourself scanners "doorstop scanners". Not much good for anything other than a doorstop. At their best, they only give you what our competition might (I suspect that is what a lot of them use) and then you are still stuck with images that do not look like what people would get if our Photoshop artists can "tweak" them.
I am glad that you have appealed to Google to change that review where we had to change our 800 number, because of spam, to a new number and it took us so long to get that change made on our Google listing. Not because we were not trying. Some other company picked up our old 800 number and had nothing but spam on it when a person would call it and there was nothing we could do. I asked the reviewer to change his review but he never replied. He seemed to be a professional reviewer with many reviews.
Maybe it is good and people will see that we are not perfect but very close to it.

Aug 3, 2024Affordable Scanning was quick, thorough, and efficient. Mailed slides to them and in 6 days had the scanned images and returned slides. The cost was most reasonable. Most of the time was the mail. I'm very impressed and will use them again. I highly recommend them.

Apr 26, 2023I used Affordable Slide Scanning for a professional dance archive project and a family archive project. Each job was returned quickly and the results are excellent!
It got overwhelming to pre clean individual slides but it was absolutely worth the effort!
Affordable also communicated patiently with me to guide me in best/proper methods for sorting, packing and shipping.
I and my family were thrilled to share images and reminisce again.
Ditto for myself and my dance colleagues.

Mar 3, 2023You won't go wrong if you choose this company and you won't be sorry with your final product! I recently came across several hundred slides of my father's that I had never seen before. I checked into several companies that make digital images from slides and decided to go with Affordable Slide Scanning. Their price was very fair and included photoshopping to correct photos. Most other companies don't do this! Plus I like that my slides did not get shipped overseas! Many of the original slides were dark and Affordable was able to lighten shadows considerably and correct the colors of some of the slides that were obviously discolored. I use Photoshop myself, so I understand what a process this is to look at every single photo for pleasing color! The photos came back as large digital files, so that on the few photos I went into Photoshop myself and made additional corrections, I did not lose much in the way of quality. Affordable is a small company so you don't get lost in the shuffle and they were super fast. I shipped photos to them on a Thursday and by the following Monday evening they were finished and preparing to send everything to me. Very fast, very affordable and very professional company with a pleasing product.

Feb 7, 2023I NEVER write reviews but I feel compelled to write one for Affordable Scanning. I had 65 year old slides that Affordable Scanning resurrected! I am trilled to have found this outfit. Do not make the mistake of risking your "memories" to the automated machines of the big companies. Affordable Scanning gives personalized attention to your slides and YES! They ARE affordable!

Jul 25, 2022They scanned 60 of my old slides from my days in Army service in Japan almost 70 years ago. The digital images were sharp and the colors brilliant even when shown our TV thanks to the 4,000 dpi resolution they use. Prompt service and great communication. Great price, Great results. I will highly recommend Affordable to any of my friends that have old slides they would like to digitize.

Very sorry that a potential customer was lost. We were having problems with our 800 number and had to get a new one. When we tried updating our listing on Google search results, Google would not let us do it. We have struggled for months with this and finally got our new number to be updated. This one bad review is disappointing. Wish we had been able to fix this sooner. Sometimes google is very difficult to deal with.
Our old 800 number was given to some other business but continued to be displayed on our Google search results and so Mr. Oppermann called the old 800 number and got ads from a completely different company.

Dec 24, 2021I had found old film slides of my grandfathers that I wanted digitized for a Christmas gift for him and Affordable 35mm slide scanning really delivered. I was cutting it kind of close with Christmas being right around the corner and he got them done with time to spare. The photos are great quality and my grandfather absolutely loves them. I have gotten plenty of phone calls from his friends asking for the pictures as a lot of the photos are of him and his friends. It is a great experience to see my grandfather enjoy all of these old memories and share them with his old friends. Really made my Christmas. If you are contemplating getting old film slides for yourself or your family digitized. Do it. Amazing job. I would recommend and if I find any other film slides in the future I most definitely will be using this service again. Its just amazing to see my grandfather young and smiling.
