What would we consider "warped or bent" slide? Sometimes slides may be put in humid conditions which would cause warping. Also, we have seen it, so many times, where "Sawyer" type carousels will put a considerable bend on a slide. Sawyers need to have a very tight slot for the slides because of the nature of the slide carousel being tilted up on end. They have a need to have a very tight fit so that the slides do not fall out when the carousel is tilted. The unfortunate part of this system is that it bends the slides. When a slide is bent out of it's normal flat aspect, this jams our scanners and necessitates our hand feeding the slides, one by one. This takes us extra time and time is money. Unfortunately, we have to be compensated for this extra time.
