They are going to give you a "Scan" but this "Scan" needs to be tweaked by a Photoshop expert otherwise it might look just awful. We have those experts and they will tweak every scan that we give you.
Year after year goes by and I listen to the radio ads put out by "Legacy Box" saying that they have had customers in the "millions" and I feel so bad for all these "customers" who some people might also say are victims of slick salesmen willing to sell unsuspecting people lower quality scans than they could get if they just would send their slides to Affordable Scanning Services LLC. If I am not mistaken, aren't these your family heirloom pictures that you want to preserve? Well, if the dyes have started fading, then they will eventually look very reddish or blue/green color and it just goes downhill from there. Slides will "fade" either to a clear film with nothing on it or a very dark film with no details to be seen. This is not the picture that you or your parents or grandparents took years ago. We can tweak those images to look much closer to the original that you saw through your camera viewfinder.
Let's just be clear: They are giving you a "Scan". It is a basic, un-tweaked image. They feel they have fulfilled their contract with you. You wanted scans of your slides and they provided that. The problem is that they have not given you all that we do. We have our Photoshop techs tweak every scan to give you the best that we can. We feel that it is our job, since we are working on your heirloom photos, to give you the best that we can in the time available.

Note that there is a minimum Scanning Charge of $20
per order so, you are better off if you have enough slides to reach $20.

"127" slides = $2.00 each 4,000ppi scan;
Stereo Slides = $1.50 each 4,000ppi scan;
View-Master Reels = $15 per reel, 1 film of each pair;
Disc Negative Reel = $39.00
4" X 6" paper prints = $.39 each 600ppi scan
Most 2" X 2" Slides to Prints = $1.39 each 4"x6". $35 minimum order. See the order form for Slides to Prints.
Return shipping cost is based on weight. Basically, it should cost us very close to send everything back to you as it costs for you to send to us, unless, as many of our customers do, you don't want your slides back, just your images. Shipping carousels back to you is NOT included in our shipping estimate.

We scan at 4,000 pixels per inch and our 35mm slide scanned images have a total of 5,256.00 X 3,544.00 pixels.
HD TVs that display at 1080p have only 1920 x 1080 pixels.
